VNs are far more niche than JRPGS and yet those companies has the manpower to translate scripts many times the length of Sora no Kiseki I understand the frustration, but you don't know what their financials are. We're partly only getting SC due to a smaller company (Carpe Fulgur, of Recettear fame) being contracted out for the actual script translation. Licensing the Japanese voices and/or dubbing a script as big as Trails would be ridiculously expensive and this would be triple-dipping on the same title for XSEED (since the game did come out on PSP in the west too.) We were lucky to get the version we have due to how dense the game is script-wise. And I doubt they would want to compromise sales of this game that's only been out for a few months, and has a niche audience, by releasing a new and better version of it.
